Reacting to Events
Events can be triggered by the vehicle, the radio station, or the radio receiver. Handling them correctly ensures drivers get a seamless, predictable experience.
Vehicle ignition events
Section titled “Vehicle ignition events”Drivers expect their radio to pick up exactly where they left off.
If the radio is active when the vehicle is turned off, it should automatically resume when the vehicle is turned back on again, tuned to the same station and at the same volume. The radio doesn’t need to be in the foreground for this to work.
Don’t make drivers manually restart the radio every time they start their vehicle.
